Broadcast Technology Limited previously known as Radio Consult Limited is registered company no. 93879, incorporated under the company Act 2002 by Business Registration and Licensing Authority of Tanzania (BRELA). Currently the company is operating and its head office is located at Hidis House 1st Floor, KIZOTA WEST, PLOT 14&15 BLOCK 22B, PO.Box 4422, DODOMA, TANZANIA. The company started operations since September 2012.

What Broadcast Technology Limited considers?
Broadcast Technology Limited expects to fill a great vacuum of expertise that exists in the radio and TV broadcasting field in Tanzania and the neighbouring countries.

The situation has become worse with the increase in demand and interest in setting up low cost community and small local radio stations, following the approval of the Government for the establishment of community, noncommercial and commercial district segment coverage radio stations. The setting up of such facilities involves a wide range of considerations, knowhow and access to sources of funds. Without the correct expertise, the selection of equipment and design of the broadcasting facility can lead to unnecessary expense and even be saddled with unwanted facilities or worse not realise the intended outcome.

The process also requires dealings with the local regulator which involves knowledge and expertise to prepare applications for the license. Another consideration is to search for donor agencies. Donor agencies have their individual requirements that must be satisfied before they agree donate/ invest in the proposed radio or TV project.
Preparing project documents addressing the requirements of donors as well as cost benefit analysis of the intended project must be clearly articulated to reassure donors that their funds are securely invested.
